Project Description
Botosani is the capital of the district of the same name and is at the same time the economic and cultural centre of this region. In order to give the city, or its development, transport policy and economic impetus, VCDB created a strategy for the public transport.
The town of Botosani intended, with the help of the project and its results, to improve the public transport and thus to ensure a sustainable, comfortable and affordable transport for the population.
The study was to show how public transport in Botosani can be structured and further developed so that it satisfies the medium to long term mobility needs of Botosani's citizens and significantly contributes to environmentally friendly and sustainable traffic management in the city.

- Analysis of the spatial structure and socio-demographic fundamentals
- Analysis of the transport on offer (using a self-created transport model) and the traffic demand in Botosani
- The creation of a catalogue of measures to improve the traffic situation based on the results of the analysis of deficiencies and potentials
