Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) Systems

VCDB assists with the modernisation and redesign of AVL systems. This applies to classical systems in metropolitan areas as well as regional and cross-company solutions (‘Regio-RBL‘).

Digital Communication Systems

In public transport the digitisation of communications platforms as well as the cross-company networking of AVL and communication systems are becoming increasingly important. VCDB provides a comprehensive consultation service for the planning, implementation and operation of modern digital communications and network solutions.

Dynamic Passenger Information Systems (PIS)

VCDB assists with the conception and implementation of PIS systems based on innovative stationary displays or using mobile communication. The necessary adaptation of the interfaces can be flexibly implemented by VCDB.

Modern Train Control and Safety Systems

To increase the efficiency of commuter rail systems and metros, more modern, radio-based communication systems for train control and security are increasingly being used. VCDB assists with both the modernisation of train control and safety systems for existing light rail and metro lines as well as in the design of such systems for new lines.
